As for the car comments American cars are born of a different purpose to ours, the sport in the US originated racing inbetween traffic signals and so took the Dragster route, in England Rallying was the cradle so our cars were designed to handle and balance more importantly than accelerate.

I however have always had German cars, the "M" cars cannot be beaten in the real world IMO. I had a 911 turbo for about a year, it used to sit in my garage plotting how it was going to kill me......

 

While we have to give them Lamborghini and Ferrari, we must also point out that they are responsible for the Fiat 127. That alone disqualifies Italy from claiming to be a good car-manufacturing country.

I one wonderful sunny afternoon drove out of camp with every intention of driving home to spend some quality time with the good lady and my kiddies, turn right off Nussbaum weg onto the Westfallendamm B1, which after a couple of kilometres becomes the A44.

I just thank god for ABS braking systems. Still we all need a little excitement on a Saturday afternoon, and it was much better than going shopping like she who should have been obeyed planned.
